FRIENDS OF HIGHLAND LAKES
I can't thank you enough for being a friend to the camp. Without outside monthly support we simply can not do what we do.
With your help we are reaching students with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! 387 have made professions of faith so far this summer with still 4 weeks to go! Plus hundreds of other major life changing decisions including 46 that have surrendered to the ministry! WOW!!!
Our camps are selling out because we offer the best in programming, organized camps, and our beautiful facilities.(Highland Lakes Camp: No Better Place) Not to mention that I have been hearing all summer long how great the staff is here. We do have some of the best college students and full time staff who are giving up their summers and lives to be able to serve here. Believe me they don't do it for the money! It is all to Gods glory!
It takes great sacrifice on our parts: Jesus says in Luke 14:25-27 "One day when large groups of people were walking along with him, Jesus turned and told them, "Anyone who comes to me but refuses to let go of father, mother, spouse, children, brothers, sisters—yes, even one's own self!—can't be my disciple. Anyone who won't shoulder his own cross and follow behind me can't be my disciple." MSG
It is hard to imagine putting anything above our own life or especially the lives of family, but Jesus tells us to follow Him we must give all our ideals, ways, comforts...up and let Him live through us. When He does He may take us into dangerous places or even have us give it all, our very life.
I know many of you are doing just that giving up every desire of your own to be obedient to Christ and sharing the gospel with students and to anyone who will listen!
You are supporting your churches and the camp sacrificially with your finances and time. My heart and thanks goes out to each of you and I want you to know I am encouraged each day here to know you are serving along side of us in getting the message out to as many as we can before we go home.
Encourage others as we live each day to offer themselves as living sacrifices to our Lord one day at a time. Watch and see what Jesus is doing all around us! What an exciting time to be alive!
May God Bless you richly today!

Approximately 40 students committed their lives to Christ last night. This morning in worship these students stood up claiming their faith in Christ before everyone. What an amazing start to their journey.
We want to invite you, again, to join us tonight at 7:45pm for live worship.
Thank you for all your prayers and support.
God Bless.

Donate
to get our on air service going.
Our first two service broadcasts had 128 people check in. Not all
stayed all the way through. We had some technical difficulty to start,
but we are working on those to continue to improve the service.
Please pray about how you can help out by joining our "Friends of
Highland Lakes" Support Ministry. A monthly support ministry to keep
us introducing people to Jesus Christ!

AMAZING MOVEMENT OF GOD!!!!!
Check out the video above of Joel's Testimony and see what God did in
the service. Most amazing alter call I have ever seen. No music, no
emotional pull. Only sitting, praying in silence students and Gods
gentle voice calling each one to Him!!! Awesome!!
To see the service go to Live stream and click on the video of last
nights service.
Branch did an incredible job of leading us to the throne of Jesus Christ!!!
What a first week of camp.
Please pray for the rest of the week for God to continue to work in
students hearts!

What an incredible group of college students we have this year! God
has been so faithful in sending us so many students who love the Lord
and have willing and servants hearts.
We can't wait to see all that God is going to do through each one of
them this summer as they serve. We will be updating you on who is
serving and where they are from in later posts.
Check back each day for updates throughout the summer.
See you at Camp!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
projects that need to be completed before May 23rd.
1) The remodeling of the old office into the Health Center has
presented some unexpected challenges and has taken longer than
expected to complete. We could use volunteers who could help with
plumbing, finish trim, and installing cabinets.
2) Our Mud School House Building is going to also be used as a dorm
and there is plumbing, finishing shower installation, some dry wall
and insulation and ceiling cover in the classroom/ sleeping area that
needs to be done.
3) One of our staff homes developed a water leak. After having a
leak detecting company come out to investigate, we found out the
plumbing in the slab would have to be discarded and the home would
have to be re-plumbed through the attic. We can use folks to volunteer
to help us re-plumb their home.
4) Work was done on the ceiling in the kitchen and after the old
ceiling came down it exposed a number of electrical issues. We hired
an electrical company to rewire much of the dining hall and much of
the new ceiling was completed. The entire track is up, but we need
help getting the rest of the tile cut and in place.
5) The front fence has been completed and the prep work has been
done; we need help in getting it painted. The 25 year pipe paint is
very costly and we do not want paint to get on the rock columns; so
this job will take a skilled team to accomplish.
6) The rains have greened up the campus and after 2 years we are
seeing grass cover the lawns. With the team working on so many
different projects, we could us some folks to help us mow.
As you can see we have several different kinds of needs so if you fell
led to help out in any way please contact Karen Cunningham in our
office to sign up to volunteer!
Our office number is 888-222-3482
