An Interview with Branch

Here is an interview with Branch. Check it out!

FRIENDS OF HIGHLAND LAKES

Friends of Highland Lakes:

I can't thank you enough for being a friend to the camp. Without outside monthly support we simply can not do what we do.
With your help we are reaching students with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!  387 have made professions of faith so far this summer with still 4 weeks to go! Plus hundreds of other major life changing decisions including 46 that have surrendered to the ministry! WOW!!!

Our camps are selling out because we offer the best in programming, organized camps, and our beautiful facilities.(Highland Lakes Camp: No Better Place) Not to mention that I have been hearing all summer long how great the staff is here. We do have some of the best college students and full time staff who are giving up their summers and lives to be able to serve here. Believe me they don't do it for the money! It is all to Gods glory!

It takes great sacrifice on our parts: Jesus says in Luke 14:25-27   "One day when large groups of people were walking along with him, Jesus turned and told them, "Anyone who comes to me but refuses to let go of father, mother, spouse, children, brothers, sisters—yes, even one's own self!—can't be my disciple. Anyone who won't shoulder his own cross and follow behind me can't be my disciple." MSG

It is hard to imagine putting anything above our own life or especially the lives of family, but Jesus tells us to follow Him we must give all our ideals, ways, comforts...up and let Him live through us. When He does He may take us into dangerous places or even have us give it all, our very life.
I know many of you are doing just that giving up every desire of your own to be obedient to Christ and sharing the gospel with students and to anyone who will listen!

You are supporting your churches and the camp sacrificially with your finances and time.  My heart and thanks goes out to each of you and I want you to know I am encouraged each day here to know you are serving along side of us in getting the message out to as many as we can before we go home.

Encourage others as we live each day to offer themselves as living sacrifices to our Lord one day at a time. Watch and see what Jesus is doing all around us! What an exciting time to be alive!

May God Bless you richly today!
