Boys and Girls Camp

Boys (RAs) & Girls (GAs) Camp 2010

July 22-24

(For children who have completed grades 1-6)

Boys & Girls Camp offers a safe, quality camping experience for boys who have completed 1st-6th grade. Exposure to the wonder of God's creation through a structured camping program will encourage young men to learn more about themselves, improve their relationship to others, reconsider their responsibility to society, and grow in their relationship with God.

Throughout their time at Boys & Girls Camp, campers will be immersed in a Christ-centered environment in which they are actively encouraged through fellowship, prayer, worship, and the camping experience to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ. Each day will be filled with worship and activities that help campers recognize and reflect on the Lord's presence in their lives. The daily schedule at Boys Camp is active and fun, focusing on the total person -- physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Boys will take part in and number of adventurous activities designed to enhance personal development. Their afternoons will be filled with opportunities a variety of inventive and exciting courses that allow them to develop their talents and interests.

n Box Car Racer Project

n Leather Craft

n Organized recreation

n Zipline (completed 6th grade)

Through participation in carefully selected, fun-filled activities, girls will experience a series of successes and the exhilaration of accomplishment, developing a stronger sense of self-worth and an adventuresome attitude.

Boys & Girls Camp: July 22-24

Early:

Nov. 30, 2009 – Mar. 2, 2010

Regular:

Mar. 3 – May 4, 2010

Late:

May 5 – June 22, 2010

A nonrefundable registration deposit of $50 will secure each camper's reservation. Each camper's registration fee is based upon the postmark date of which their deposit is received. The remaining registration balance plus all required camp forms are due on or before June 22, 2010. Confirmation of reservation will be issued upon completion of requirements.

Adult Counselor Requirements

Much is required of the adult counselor, demanding a physically fit, emotionally and spiritually mature person who relates well with children. He is expected to serve as a family group leader and assist with the camp activities. The adult counselor is an encourager, disciplinarian, dorm supervisor, and discussion leader.

Churches must send one (1) adult counselor for every eight (8) campers. For every 8 boys there must be a male counselor. Counselors are to be at least 19 years of age, are required to be housed with their campers, and are expected to assist in the camp activities.
