Family Camp

Family Camp

March 26-28, 2010

Family Camp at HLC is a great time for families to spend time together away from the distractions of everyday life. Family Camp is the perfect opportunity for you to come and build memories around the campfire, taking a hayride, star-gazing, shooting bow and arrows, kayaking, or reeling in the big one. Our staff will serve you so you can spend quality time resting, playing, learning, and growing as a family.

Here at HLC we seek to meet you where your budget and lifestyle overlap. To do so, we offer wooded campsites for those who like to “rough-it,” bunk houses for those who like more of the comforts of home, and private rooms for those who want to be pampered a little more. All private rooms are set up like a hotel with private bathroom, in-room a/c, and linens. All bunk houses have indoor restrooms and a/c – but you’ll need to bring a bed roll. RV sites are full hook up.

This is a weekend where family, fun, inspiration and togetherness merge in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Come enjoy a memorable family experience, playing, relaxing and strengthening your family’s bond of love.

Program Guest

Steve Winger has been juggling for Jesus since 1984 when he was asked to share the story of the Prodigal Son creatively with fellow college students. He told the story while using juggling to illustrate the words he spoke. Word quickly spread of Steve's talent as he began to share his juggling ministry with groups of all ages. Since that time, Steve's ministry has developed into a world-class combination of juggling, comedy and Biblical teaching. You never know what you may see flying through the air - raw eggs, machetes, cannon balls, globes or giant Chinese yo-yos. No matter what is in the air you are sure to be captivated by this creative and powerful demonstration of the message of Christ. www.forhiskidz.com or www.jugglerforjesus.com

Jon Bell has been playing musical instruments and singing for Jesus for over fifteen years. He provides a relevant, engaging worship experience for children, students, and adults, and seeks to lead others in authentic praise of our awesome God. A recent graduate of Howard Payne University and current Brownwood, Texas resident, Jon has led worship alongside such varied acts as Dennis Miller and Burgundy Road. You will be praising and smiling, but most of all learning that being a child of God is fun! belljonathanm@hotmail.com
